CLA is an accredited private school. It is not accredited through the state of Texas or recognized as a state school. It is accredited through a separate organization called NAPS-National Association of Private Schools. The NAPS organization holds high operating and curriculum standards for all of its members and is widely accepted by most higher level institutions. This organization is a national, Christian-school accrediting group that offers an alternative form of accreditation for any private schools not wishing to adhere to all state requirements and emphasizes freedom and independence from state control. NAPS is not recognized by Texas for purposes of state accreditation, therefore, CLA does not receive any state funding, is not required to complete state mandated testing, or follow public school regulations.
